There are a lot of factors you can envision when thinking about the right floors in the right rooms at One Stop Flooring.

  1. What room are you laying the floor in

When fitters are in the process of laying the floor, there are many elements that need to be checked beforehand. Checking temperatures and moisture levels in the room, the type of flooring you lay can impact stability and movement. For example, laying Engineered floors in the kitchen or bathroom, in the long term can damage the floor with spillages or scratches. This is where Luxury Vinyl Tiles come into play as they are not only durable but water resistant as well and scratch resistant.

  1. What is the foot traffic in that particular

Heavy foot traffic in certain areas may risk the floor getting damaged or scratches. If you’re looking for new wooden flooring for your home, you’ll need to consider how much traffic is passing over the flooring and the type of traffic.  In homes, hallways are likely to suffer from heavy footfall from shoes and scratching from pets, and kitchen floors as the movement of chairs and spillages.

  1. The size of the room

Knowing the amount of flooring you need in any given room is important to find out, firstly your budget and secondly what is the best flooring you can lay to keep within your financial terms. If your room isn't rectangular, we recommend splitting it into rectangular sections. Multiply the width and length of each rectangle together to find the area and add another 7-10% for wastage.

  1. Are you considering underfloor heating?

In recent years, underfloor heating has become very popular. It is an effective and efficient way to heat your room. The only disadvantage for this is you can’t lay all floors on top on underfloor heating due to heat levels. Fortunately, most flooring companies will advise the customer whether they are suitable for underfloor heating or not.

  1. How long will the floor last

Flooring nowadays is made to last a long time. Wooden flooring is famous for many reasons; one of those is that it can last a lifetime. When you install hardwood flooring in your home, as long as you maintain it well, it will remain in good condition for as long as you live in that property, making it hugely cost-effective

  1. Is it easy to install
