What is the difference between Herringbone Flooring & Chevron Flooring
The main difference between the two designs are:
  • Herringbone planks are cut at a 90 degree angle.
  • Chevron planks are cut at a 45 degree angle.
  • Herringbone flooring has a zigzag pattern but it has a staggered effect.
  • Chevron flooring creates a zigzag pattern, coming to a point at the top of each zigzag.
Is Parquet Flooring Waterproof?
Both parquet engineered wood flooring and parquet solid wood flooring can be water resistant to small amounts of water or liquid spillages. However they are in not waterproof. It is not recommended to install a hardwood floor in areas with lots of water, for example a kitchen, bathroom or utility room.
